On Sunday April 25th, 2010, while I was doing dishes Mason came into the kitchen. He stood there watching me for a couple of minutes and then said, "Mom, I love you."
I responded, "I love you too, Mason."
"Mom, when I get big I'm going to marry Emma."
"Big Emma (MacFarlane) or Little Emma (Scott)?"
"Little Emma, of course. We love each other."
"I'm so glad you love each other. Where are you going to get married?"
"I don't know Emma hasn't told me yet. But ...um..." Very smart boy. The girl gets to decide these things. ;)
"How 'bout the temple?" I ask.
"Well, yea that sounds good."
"Do I get to come?"
"Yea, I want you there. You'll get invited."
Then I stopped doing the dishes, got down on his level and said, "Mason, I love you so much. And I am so glad you want to get married in the Temple and have me there. You know I wouldn't miss it for anything."
"I know Mom. I love you."
Then he leaned forward gave me a big hug followed by a kiss on the cheek just before he turned away and went back to playing with his brother and sister. Isn't raising kids fun?
